Getting students up to speed with critical PC skills
Focused on skills students will need and use
We help students get proficient with skills they'll use throughout their college experience right from the start. From logging in to the computer to researching on the Internet, each skill covered helps enable student success in college -- and beyond.
A self-contained learning solution
For this course we make use of Microsoft's free Office Online apps and Windows 10 accessories, which means students need just Windows 10 and an Internet connection! The complimentary WebSims (simulated versions of certain exercises) and videos ensure that skills can be covered and practiced, even in a controlled computer lab environment.
Windows skills to support student needs
Windows 10 has many new features. This courseware guides students through the features they'll use every day, aiding productivity in school and at work. Features covered include program controls, menus, working with the Start menu (it's back!), using the task bar, and basic word processing.
Provides best practices for using the Internet
Using Windows' 10 new web browser, Microsoft Edge, students learn how to effectively search the web and defend themselves from Internet threats. We also integrate coverage of Outlook Online, Word Online, and OneDrive.
Organize and manage files
A critical skill for all computer work is learning how and where to save files. File management and organization is weaved throughout the course as students save files and create folders both on the local PC and in the cloud.
