eLab Simulation Questions
Simulation questions allow instructors to assess areas of learning not addressed by traditional assessments.
Traditional assessments are designed to measure students' knowledge, but they often fall short in measuring the student's ability to apply the knowledge. For example, students may correctly answer questions about creating a table within Microsoft Word, but they may not be able to apply that knowledge when actually creating a document within Word. Direct observation of learners performing in a real-world setting provides a powerful way to measure both their knowledge and their ability to apply it.
eLab simulation questions provide instructors with the ability to see
whether students can combine the pieces they've learned into a meaningful entity. Every move and click the student makes is recorded and can be viewed by the instructor following submission of the test.
