This text is a perfect resource. I use it as a resource in my regular college courses but I also use it as the primary resource for teaching my workforce classes. A great product. I cannot wait to use this particular text for a future advanced level Excel skills course.

The material is easy to follow. You need to add material to consume a 6 to 8 hour session. The section on Macros is too superficial to be practical. A separate class on macros would be nice. Much of the Data Validation exercises would be more practical if it were included in a template. Pivot tables and Pivot charts are always a hit. More depth is needed such as Calculated Items. The unlocking and locking of cells discussion should be included in a Template exercise so that it is more practical. Include the discussion of Protecting the Workbook Structure with the exercises that uses summing across a range of sheets. I do that when summing Direct Expenses on Lesson 2.
